Electrical Connection
The electricity generated from each turbine will be transmitted via underground and above ground cabling to a central cable marshalling point at the onsite substation, which will be located next to the 220kv power line that runs through the site area. The substation will then connect directly into the grid network on site.
Preparatory works for the substation site commenced on 16th November 2009 and will be completed in April 2010.
