Thomas Scott-Morey | Chief Executive Officer

FIEAust, CPEng, MBA, BA (Cantab)

Appointed as CEO in September 2013, Thomas is a senior executive with more than 30 years of commercial experience and specific industry expertise in electricity, investment and construction.

Thomas has managed businesses engaged in power generation, operations & maintenance and contracting, including as CEO of power companies in Australia and Pakistan. He has also worked in investment banking in New York, Hong Kong and London and in the area of project development and finance for GE Capital, CMS Energy, Southern Company and International Power structuring and investing in electricity projects across Europe, the Middle East, Asia and Australia.

Thomas obtained his BA in Engineering at Cambridge University and his MBA at the Darden Business School in Virginia. He retains his professional engineering qualifications in the UK and Australia.

Zhang Fan | Chief Financial Officer

Zhang was appointed as CFO in May 2014 and prior to this served as Financial Controller at Verve Energy, and Audit Manager at KPMG.

With more than twenty years’ experience in financial management, risk management, accounting and audit management, and strong knowledge of the WA Energy Market, Zhang was involved in the development and operation of some of Western Australia’s major power projects.

In his audit years, Zhang had a broad audit client base, which included energy and power, mining, property, manufacturing and banking industries throughout Australia, South East Asia and China.

Zhang graduated from Tsinghua University in China with a bachelor’s degree in management, and is a member of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand.

Oye Akindele Obe | Business Development Manager

Oye Akindele Obe was appointed as Business Development Manager in August 2020. He is an experienced senior executive with 31 years in the upstream oil and gas, management consulting and technology industry sectors.

He started his career at Schlumberger Oilfield Services followed by a senior manager role at Accenture Australia where he sold and delivered strategic services including helping a major energy retailer prepare for FRC. He later established the business development infrastructure of, and spearheaded competitive and profitable growth at Perth-based Immersive Technologies. Oye has led and managed diverse teams in Australia, USA, South East Asia, South America and Africa.

Oye graduated with a BSc (Honours) degree in Mechanical Engineering from Obafemi Awolowo University Nigeria, holds an MBA from Cranfield University School of Management UK, and is a Member of AICD.

Colleen Burger | Senior Human Resources Manager

Colleen’s experience in international human resources spans more than twenty years, working with top tier companies in the financial, utilities and professional services sectors across the UK, US, Europe, Australia and South Africa.

Joining Collgar Wind Farm in 2014, she is an accomplished people and development specialist with deep expertise covering the full scope of human resources management. Colleen leads all people-related initiatives and strategies promoting a strong culture of engagement, wellbeing and capability development.

Colleen previously worked with AGL, Alinta, Ashurst, Clearstream (Deutsche Borse Group), Paxon Group and Credit Suisse.

Colleen has a Bachelor of Journalism degree from Rhodes University and a Psychology Honours degree from the University of South Africa.
