[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]The southern hemisphere’s biggest single-stage wind farm, near the West Australian town of Merriden, will begin producing electricity today, two months ahead of schedule.

Backed by global banking giant UBS and REST superannuation fund, the $750 million, 206 megawatt Collgar wind farm, north-east of Perth, will power, on average, up to 125,000 homes and nearly double the amount of renewable energy produced in WA.
