Collgar Renewables Appoints New Chief Executive Officer

Since its beginnings in 2010, the Collgar Renewables Group has developed into a leading renewable energy business. As we look to the future, the time has come to welcome new leadership for the next phase of our growth and success.

We are therefore delighted to announce the appointment of Sam Pearce to the role of Chief Executive Officer of Collgar Renewables as of 1 July 2024.

Sam is an experienced energy and infrastructure industry executive and has a strong track record of strategic and operational leadership across the energy value chain. Over recent years, he has held senior executive roles at QIC Global Infrastructure, APA Group and AGL Energy.

Sam is also a dynamic business leader, experienced in delivering growth in complex business environments, and has built and led outcome-driven management teams. We are confident this will quickly transfer to the Collgar business, with its existing high-quality team and operating assets.

Collgar Renewables is committed to helping its customers find meaningful solutions towards decarbonisation and to being a key participant in the energy transition.

Collgar is supported by its owner, the Retail Employees Superannuation Trust (Rest), to grow into one of Australia’s leading renewable energy platforms. Established in 1988, Rest is one of Australia’s largest profit-to-member superannuation funds, with around two million members and close to $85 billion in funds under management as of 31 March 2024.

Having led Collgar to many successes over the past decade, outgoing CEO, Thomas Scott-Morey, expressed his intention to pursue other challenges. Thomas is supporting Sam through a short transition period and will assist the business for a period thereafter. The team expressed their appreciation to Thomas for his ongoing commitment to the business and for his efforts to ensure a smooth transition.

We welcome Sam Pearce to the Collgar team and we look forward, under his executive leadership, to sustained growth and driving Collgar to be a leading player in the energy transition.
