Collgar is committed to conducting its operations in an environmentally and socially responsible manner, underpinned by strong governance. Maintaining awareness of environmental, social and governance (ESG) risks and opportunities provides the foundation for stewarding Collgar’s activities in an ethical manner and aligned with its values.

In 2021, GRESB named Collgar as a global sustainability Sector Leader in Renewable Power and awarded Collgar with a 5-star rating for ESG management and performance.


Collgar ranked No.1 amongst all renewable power generators in the 2021 GRESB survey. Collgar uses these benchmarking results to evaluate material ESG factors and areas for improvement.

Our 2022 Targets

Collgar has set the following targets for 2022 (although not limited to)


As a leading-edge wind farm, Collgar provides a significant amount of clean energy for WA.

We are committed to minimising the impact of our operations on the environment and aim to establish practices which contribute to the sustainable production and consumption of energy underpinned by responsible procurement and business development decisions.


Collgar’s Energy Policy is aligned with ISO 50001:2018 and also reflects the UN’s recommendations for Sustainable Development Goal 12: Responsible Consumption and Production.

Electricity production is a major source of greenhouse gas emissions. Approximately 49% of Australia’s greenhouse emissions come from the burning of fossil fuels to produce electricity.

One way to reduce greenhouse gas emissions is to replace fossil fuels with a natural, renewable source of energy such as wind.

Initiatives to combat climate change, such as the Kyoto Protocol, have allowed wind energy to become the world’s fastest growing energy source, with currently more than 10,000 megawatts of capacity installed globally every year. The Western Australian State Government has chosen to support renewable energy by investing in wind energy, bringing to the state new job opportunities as well as clean electricity.


Safety and wellbeing are at the forefront of our decision-making. This applies to the environment, the community, our people, and all those with whom we interact.

We take responsibility and accountability for safety within our sphere of operations.

In 2021, Collgar submitted its first Modern Slavery Statement covering the 2020 reporting year.

In addition to supply chain engagement, Collgar is also reviewing procurement practices to improve transparency and mitigation of risks associated with modern slavery, materials sourcing, and materials efficiency.

Collgar recognises that managing modern slavery risks requires ongoing commitment and will continue to review, evaluate, improve, and evolve our risk management approach to ensure we strive toward best practices.
