The article focuses on the transformative power of technology in the Wheatbelt, Western Australia. The main cornerstones of the feature are renewable energies and medical services. It focuses on the lasting and positive impact that that technological advances in these areas has on the people living on the land.
The article shines a glowing light on Collgar Wind Farm, calling it a “reliable cash crop”. The article features videos and photographs of the wind farm and describes the ways in which the wind farm benefits the community including; active support by Collgar Wind Farm of education and local initiatives through the ‘Community Fund’, employment opportunities that the wind farm provided to Merredin during construction and for the next 25 years maintenance, income stability for farmers, corporate citizenship, clean energy – enough to power 125,000 average homes which also benefits the Australian electricity grid.
